About Starling Memory Works
We are the memory people.
Starling makes your business speakable to AI, so every model you use reasons from your actual values, strategy, and decisions. Your knowledge lives in a repository you own; the AI reads it, does the work, and forgets.
The story
From human accelerator to Org Brain.
Starling didn’t start as a company about machines. It started with people, and became the architecture that preserves what they know.
The beginning
A human accelerator
Starling began as a human accelerator program, helping small and midsize business owners clarify their value hierarchies, communication, positioning, workflows, and processes. That human-centered foundation would become the core of an AI-native business architecture: one designed not to replace human intelligence, but to preserve and extend it.
The turn
The Organizational Brain
Work on human creativity and organizational values merged with process optimization into a whole-brain cognitive model, where human values and machine efficiency work together. Decades of consulting and coaching frameworks were made executable by AI.
December 2025
SSL + UCA launch
The Starling System Library and Universal Cognitive Architecture launch as a zero-code product suite that works inside leading LLM workspaces, covered by International Business Times and USA Today.
June 2026
The standard goes free
Mach 1 Business is published and UCA is released free and open under CC BY 4.0, the classification standard that makes organizational knowledge addressable by any AI, given away so the architecture can outlive any one vendor.
Today
Starling MX
Starling MX is in active beta, onboarding founding members: Smart Office self-serve from $99/month, Smart Enterprise architected with you. Org Brains created for SelfOS, Wrks Online, The Truffle Box, Sakrid Coffee Roasters, TechRanch, SnapADU, Signal Brands, Dexian, and more.
What we believe
Intelligence is cheap. Coherence is not.
The goal is not to automate decision-making. It's to make sure the decisions are remembered, referenced, and improved upon.
Memory over automation
When you start thinking of your business as a cognitive system, you stop chasing trends. You start designing the structure.
Design the structure
Every team is essentially teaching their AI who they are. We just give them the architecture to do it consistently.
Teach your AI who you are
The founder
“You have to organize your knowledge base for AI, rather than trying to make AI work for your scattered data systems.”
Chris Kincade spent years coaching founders on values, positioning, and process before turning those frameworks into something a machine could execute. Starling is the result: consulting-grade organizational thinking, encoded as a memory architecture any model can read.
He writes On Cognitive Design, the weekly brief on sovereign organizational memory.
